Advent Capital Investments Ltd hires Tim Munn as CIO

Advent Capital Investments Ltd, the specialist UK real estate investment manager wholly owned by Advent Group Asset Managers, has hired Tim Munn from CBRE Global Investors in the role of Chief Investment Officer (CIO).

Tim, who will also join the Board of Advent Capital Investments Ltd, will officially join the business early next year.  In addition to his CIO and Board responsibilities, Tim will play a key role in overseeing new strategies and business development.

Prior to joining Advent Capital Investments Ltd, Tim Munn spent two decades at CBRE Global Investors, where he was a member of the UK Executive Committee and Head of Inbound Capital, responsible for working on separate account business development. Prior to this, Tim was Director of Operations - Global Separate Accounts and was the lead director for several key UK pension fund mandates. Tim was instrumental in developing CBRE Global Investors’ investment process and is highly regarded within the investment consultant community.

Tim’s appointment follows the recent arrival of three other senior hires at Advent Capital Investments Ltd as the business continues to grow its investment team, product offering and client base globally. Maureen Mahr von Staszewski joined Advent Capital Investments Ltd in June 2019 as a lead fund manager responsible for investing on behalf of Advent Group’s new and forthcoming property funds. Giles King joined Advent Capital Investments Ltd in December 2018 as lead fund manager of Mayfair’s UK Thematic Growth Fund. Matt Dimond joined Advent Capital Investments Ltd in May 2018 as global head of business development, responsible for existing client relationships and securing new sources of investor capital globally.

Tim Munn’s appointment enables Robert Palmer to relinquish the role of CIO and his other business management responsibilities. Robert, who joined Advent Capital Investments Ltd in June 2010, and has been CIO since 2014, has for some time wanted to focus on managing client money and will remain a key part of Mayfair’s investment team. Robert will continue in the role of CIO until Tim officially starts and will work closely with Tim to ensure a seamless transition of his responsibilities.
